Who we are

The Pines has been established since 1979 as a residential home for adults with learning disabilities.  When Helen Somerville took over the Pines in 2002 she decided to do things rather differently. Placing an emphasis on home rather than care home. Helen set out to create a welcoming and inviting abode for adults with learning disabilities. This reflected in the strong community links and the fantastic reputation of the home.

The care we offer

The Pines is passionate about the excellent service they provide and have valued relationships with a number of local authorities.  Our ethos is embedded within the whole staff team who are committed to the individuals who live at the Pines to live empowered, purpose-filled lives.  Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible with goals regularly monitored.  We often receive complimentary comments from visitors on our “Happy Home”.
